Our story

Not forgotten Voice is a community -driven charity based in Aberdeen, dedicated to empowering the disadvantaged children, youths and the isolated elderly . By providing educational resources, mentorship programs, access to recreational activities, we aim to break the cycle of poverty, loneliness and create brighter futures. In addition to this, we are also building meaningful connections to combat loneliness and improve the mental wellbeing of the elderly in the community.

Our Legal Structure

Not Forgotten Voice operates as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization (SCIO).

We Are Registered and Regulated:

  • As a SCIO, we are registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
  • Our registration ensures we meet all legal and ethical standards required of charities in Scotland.

A Clear Governance Model:

  • We are governed by a Board of Charity Trustees, responsible for decision-making, overseeing our activities, and ensuring accountability.
  • The Board meets regularly to monitor progress, manage finances, and review strategic priorities.

Transparent Financial Management:

  • Our annual accounts are independently reviewed to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Financial statements and impact reports are available upon request to demonstrate how donor contributions are used.

Limited Liability for Trustees:

  • The SCIO structure ensures that our trustees have limited liability, protecting them while they act in the best interests of the charity.

Member and Trustee Roles:

  • All members of the organization are also charity trustees, simplifying decision-making and ensuring unified leadership

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower and uplift disadvantaged youth, toddlers, preteens, and isolated elderly by fostering strong intergenerational connections and creating a society where individuals of all ages can thrive. Mission: To improve lives through education, family support, and community initiatives.
